hello…..today was a bright sunny day..the road to Sik was filled with sunlight..we had beautiful eye sight all the way with beautiful huge mountains. today we manage to reach there by 8.30am because there were few cars on the road. once we reached the district health office..we were welcomed warmly by En Omar Abd Rahman from food quality control unit.Today we were enlightened on how food quality and safety is ensured in Sik district. We learned certain procedures and law enforcement applied on food quality control.For about an hour we gain knowledge from En Omar regarding the methods of food sample taken and to be sent for analysis.He categorized food samples into chemical,microorganism and physical.We were very interested to know more on how they process they work and En Omar showed us a few of his samples and various forms used during food inspection.It was very short and simple,and it was beneficial.
En Zulklifi Che Mit,the officer in charge in food quality control division and also a colleague of En Omar took over the second session of the day.He explained to us more on the guideline his department follows in order to take action on unqualified premises.he also showed us pictures which was taken during their food operation.And further he explained on the criteria needed to inspect the premises.The talk given by En Zulklifi was very helpful for us and to be applied in the future.
